Mystery
Surrounds Final Resting Place Of The King
Of Pop
In
spite of yesterday’s lavish public
memorials for Michael Jackson at the elite
Forest Lawn cemetery and later at the Staples
Centre, mystery surrounds where his body
will actually is to be laid to rest.
His
brain has been removed from his body
by the LA coroner who will carry out the
autopsy, but no indication has been given
by his family or his lawyers as to where
his remains will finally be interred.
It
had been thought that he might be buried
at his former home, “Neverland” in
Santa Barbara, but this is no longer
in his possession, having been seized
to pay
his
debts.
Last
night, fans gathered outside the ranch
to pay their tribute to their
famous
and
beloved neighbour and many said they
would love to see him buried locally.
“
It was his home for such a long time,” said
Bernice Gold. “He should come
home to rest here.”
Although
his remains were at Forest Lawn
cemetery overnight on Monday
and where
a private family memorial took
place yesterday morning, a spokesman for
the cemetery said
that no request had been received
to bury the singer there.

According
to Jackson’s death certificate,
Forest Lawn was only to be used for the
private family memorial and no other arrangements
had been entered into
between it and the Jackson family.
There
were various rumours circulating yesterday
that Jackson might be buried secretly in
an unknown location or publicly in a famous
cemetery like Hollywood Forever, but encased
in concrete. But so far, it remains a mystery
where the King of Pop will eventually rest
in peace
